When we started the hunt for a new Internal Accounts Manager we knew we’d need to find someone with a unique combination of technical know-how and people skills. The latest addition to the OneCall team, John Sunley, has both in spades.
These strengths will serve him well as he takes on a challenging role, which involves keeping our clients up to date with new products, consulting on strategies and providing robust roadmaps for our existing customers so they can manage their business in an informed manner. OneCall has grown rapidly during the last couple of years, and as we take on new accounts at an increasing rate, we wanted to make sure our existing customers were still getting the excellent level of personal service they’ve come to expect from our team. The role of Internal Accounts Manager was created to fulfill this need.
John comes to us from one of New Zealand’s biggest IT service providers, CodeBlue, where he spent many years in technical roles before switching to his first purely customer-facing position last year. With his background in hands-on network engineering and his more recent experience in business development and account management, John has a unique ability to approach problems in a more consultative manner, spotting details that might have been overlooked and providing novel solutions built around a client’s particular business requirements.
A graduate of Otago University, John is a seasoned traveler, having visited sixteen different countries and worked in four. He tries to plan a new trip every year, with his next stop likely to be in continental Europe. He’s also a keen photographer and an avid tinkerer, usually juggling several electronics and programming projects in his spare time.
We look forward to working with John and he is looking forward to working with you! If you’re interested in how OneCall can get your IT working for you, get in touch for a complimentary consultation.
