As one of the pioneers of salmon farming in Aotearoa, Akaroa Salmon has grown significantly from it’s humble beginnings in 1986. With over 35 years of experience, the team at Akaroa Salmon produce award winning products, shipped nationally throughout the country, and exported internationally to the US and Asia.
Akaroa Salmon began operations with minimal IT hardware which was supplied and managed by a telecommunication company. As the business grew, it became clear to the team that they needed to find a service provider that could offer solutions at a larger scale.
Kate Proctor is the Financial Controller at Akaroa Salmon, here she outlines why the company chose OneCall to provide their IT services.
“When we started, we used a provider for our phones and a couple computers, but we didn’t have a server or complex system requirements.
When we were with the initial provider, it felt like we were dealing with a ‘one man band’ and we found it very difficult to get a quick response from them, even for simple things.”
