Jason Payne – Director – Sales & Marketing

Jason joined the OneCall team after 12 years working for the Sharp Corporation, first as Sales Manager, then as Southern Regional manager. With nearly two decades of experience in sales, Jason shares our passion for excellence in customer experience. As director of Sales and Marketing, he sees our clients as important business partners and works by the motto that you should treat people as you want to be treated.

Scott Simpson – Account Manager

Scott started his IT career in technical roles at Spark and New Era IT before rapidly progressing through the ranks in client relationship management. He’s well versed on understanding the technical challenges organisations face and translating this into easily digestible language. Day to day Scott loves to dabble in the latest technology, identifying how it can help his customers focus on their business. Recently Scott and his wife had their first child and enjoys spending the weekends getting out and about in the city and over to a family bach in Akaroa.

Cliff Hairston, Senior IT Engineer

Cliff Hairston – Senior System Engineer

Hailing from West Virginia, USA, Cliff has been in the thick of the IT industry in Christchurch (engineer, trainer, consultant) for his full 22 years in NZ and another decade while in the US. Having worked on sites as small as one computer up to 5000+ node clusters, he has an expansive knowledgebase ranging from some of the earliest technologies in the 80s up to today. A problem solver at heart, Cliff loves not only finding the solutions to some of the toughest issues placed in front of him but truly loves the feeling of meeting and exceeding a client’s expectations.
Outside of IT, Cliff has been a bass player for over 30 years as well as picking up photography again after a long break from the hobby. Currently his focus is on astrophotography, landscapes, or anything that happens to end up in front of his lens.

Alex Eltherington – Network Engineer

Alex is perfectly suited for his role as a Network Engineer as he loves a good challenge and is constantly looking for ways to develop and learn as technology evolves. Up until now he has mostly worked with large managed service providers (MSP’s) supporting a range of government agencies as well as medium and large business. During the weekends the hills and beach beacons his attention as does good old fashion board games with friends and family.


Mason Osbourne – IT Engineer

Mason is an IT specialist, having worked in IT support his entire career. He relishes the opportunity to learn continually and work flexibly in an ever-changing environment. His skills in troubleshooting and ongoing support extend from tasks as simple as helping you get your hardware physically set up to diagnosing and solving complex software issues, combined with the ability to communicate with clients clearly and simply – meaning not only do your problems get solved, but you’re left more ready to respond to new opportunities.

Dom Black – IT Engineer

Dom is passionate about IT support. He enjoys the fast-pace IT world and unpacking simple and complex IT issues, while going the extra mile for all of the customers he supports.
